This website does not send account IDs or information entered into an on-site contact form because it has no user accounts or contact form.

4. Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics 4 with measurement ID G-YZK54BZSEL. Google Analytics is blocked until you actively accept analytics. Advertising storage, advertising user data, advertising personalisation, Google Signals and personalised advertising features are disabled in the website configuration.
When analytics is accepted, Google Analytics uses first-party cookies to distinguish browsers and sessions. Google states that Google Analytics does not log or store individual IP addresses for visitors in the EU, Switzerland or the UK; IP information is used to derive approximate location and then discarded.
You can reject analytics on the first visit or withdraw consent at any time through .
5. Who may receive information?
Information may be processed by service providers needed to operate the website and communications, including the website host, email provider and, only after analytics consent, Google Analytics. They process information according to their own legal obligations and applicable agreements.
The website links to third-party services, including Substack, social networks, retailers and professional organisations. If you follow those links, the third party’s own privacy policy applies. Some pages also load Google Fonts and may display externally hosted material credited to the Society of Authors or Wikimedia Commons; the visitor’s browser may disclose standard technical request information to those providers when retrieving the resource.
6. International transfers
Some service providers, including Google, may process information outside Ireland or the European Economic Area. Where required, providers use recognised transfer mechanisms such as adequacy decisions or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
7. How long information is kept

- Google Analytics user-level and event-level data is retained according to the property settings, for no longer than 14 months. Aggregated reports may remain available for longer.
- Hosting logs are retained according to the host’s security and operational schedule.
- Your consent preference remains in your browser until you change it or clear the website’s stored data.
